Sligthly small optic nerves within range?

Hi,

My son - born 5 weeks early - had an eye exam done 10 days after he was born. It was part of a series of different tests he went through during his 3 weeks stay at the hospital. Here are the notes from the exam:
"Eye exam shows sightly small optic nerves but within the normal range. No other abnormalities seen".
Exactly what does this mean? Is this something that we should be concerned about?

Please let me know.

Thank you,
C

It means just what it says. Since it's in the normal range it's not a concern. If it was abnormally small (hypoplastic optic nerves) it would be a big deal
