Cataract moved

My eye dr gave me the ReStor IOL in June & it was awesome - for 2 months. Then I felt pain for about 3 or 4 days, went to the dr who said that my membrane had ripped in an oval shape behind the lens and my lens "fell". They took pictures with a camera next to the instruments & you can clearly see my lens - way down at the bottom of my eye. The pain stopped. I can see 20/25 from far, but close I see double of everything.  I now see a "quarter-moon" underneath lights when driving (sort of a one quarter halo?). I've been to 3 eye drs. One suggested "pushing" my lens into place and pushing it back. that'll somehow lock it into place with the remaining membrane around it (& if not, he'll do another surgery to put a "staple" in it) and then he wants to "lasik/laser"? it since it'll change the diopter by moving it back and claims it'll give me great close vision but prob. not far or intermediate (which I should have with the Crystallens HD500 that I got in the other eye this past week, hopefully).  ANY & ALL comments & advice will be greatly appreciated. I only have 2 eyes and don't want to lose my ability to see well. I'm 56 and got reading glasses at 52 and got the cataracts about 16 months ago out of the blue (one dr asked about my cholesterol/triglyc #s, which are fine, thanks to lipitor).

No easy answers for your problem. Can't tell you what to do. You'll need to trust your instincts and the surgeon you feel the most confident it. In this instance most people eventually need surgery because the IOL continues to drop ("Sunset Syndrome").
