Cyst from Retinal Detachment

I had a retinal detachment last summer and this will be my 4th sugery since I developed cataracts that formed from the vitrectomy and scleral buckle surgeries. Earlier this week my doctor discovered a cyst that formed due to inflammation. I'm due for surgery sometime in April and was told that if necessary it can be removed along with the cataracts. Is this something common? How will it affect my eyesight and recuperation?

PF may reduce the inflammation but it won't stop growth. Often these need to be excised. They are common after RD surgery.

Yes, it is a conjunctival cyst. My doctor put me on pred forte 4x daily hoping to reduce the cyst from growing.

You would need to tell me where the cyst is. The most common place would be a conjunctival cyst.
