4 week baby - eye problem
Our 4 week old has a eye problem. The health center has not been to helpful and looking to see what this could be and if its treatable or something that might improve?
The right eye has a white patch in it and the pupils are often different sizes.

From the photo I can't give you an exact diagnosis. It could be an abnormality of the iris, or the lens. But a childhood tumor called retinoblastoma and a abnormality of the vitreous cavity called PHPV needs to be excluded.

Thank you for your help and advice, we managed to speak to a GP who arranged for a specialist to see her straight away, my wife has gone to see them now.
If you would be so kind to let us know what the pediatric eye specialist finds. Hopefully just a trivial birth anomaly. Best wishes from here and a good outcome is hoped for.
It is extremely important you see a pediatric ophthalmologist as soon as possible for a dilated exam. PLEASE FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THIS RECOMMENDATION

Thanks for reply, we are based in UK so waiting to see Doctor/ophthalmologist due to COVID restrictions, but we are worried now as just noticed eyes are not dilating the same and if not acting quickly could cause long term problems.... so if we should go to a pediatric ophthalmologist privately...
