How long to regain any vision after oil vitrectomy

I had a vitrectomy 6 weeks ago with the gas bubble that failed, so I had another vitrectomy 2 days ago with oil this time, and they also removed my lens along with a scar tissue from the previous surgery.  I'm terrified of how much of my vision will be regained as it's almost all completey black except for some light if I'm standing right in front of a bright light.  How long will it take to see anything?   Or will it be dark until the oil is removed and I have a lens?

Please use the search feature and archives and read the many informative posts about RD surgery, vitrectomy and repeat RD surgery with gas or oil.  These cases are so unique that generalizations are not possible. Oil is used for only the most difficult cases. A prognosis cannot be established. The most important thing is protecting the good unoperated eye from disease or injury or the effects of unhealthy living.
