The diameter of the ICL vs the diameter and depth of the posterior chamber

I had an ICL operation in my both myopic eyes in September. Since then I have had difficulties and mistakes in my work, I don´t see clearly, it is difficult to evaluate depths, the angle of view is narrow so that I don´t see f.ex. the newspaper page as a whole but there is a limited spot of more acute seeing, and my right sight is blurred. There is a theoretical seeing window in front of me and to work I have to adjust the window, but as the window is small, there happens to happen all kinds of accidents outside the window, objects falling etc. Terrible !! ( And that is not all )

Last week the surgeon himself checked the eyes and verified himself the cataract formation in the right eye. The reason of the cataract, he said, lies in the fact that the ICL lens has contact with the natural lens of the eye.

Somehow I have the feeling that the ICL in the right eye is stuck firmly in the temporal part of the eye, and there is a sensation of local pressure there. Otherwise the IOP is normal ( 14 units ).

I wonder if the size of the lens is wrong, and also wonder if the depth and the daimeter of the posterior chmaber should be measured before any kind of ICL positioning ?? The doctor said that the size of the ICL is measured from limbus to limbus, but apparently this means of measuring is not accurate enough.

The other eye went to a cataract and the ICL had to be taken away and the sight was corrected with a silicone lens after the natural lens was suctioned away-
The other eye holds still the ICL.

Seems that by and by the sight has stabilised so that when walking or driving or discussing with people I do not have the spectacles but when reading or writing the spectacles are necessary.

After a year I do not recommend ICL to anybody ...

I do not like ICLs. I don't recommended them to patients. I can't tell why its not positioned properly. Sounds like the sooner you get them out of the eye the better. Get a second opinion
