Copaswinda had (probably accidentally) asked the question twice. Dr. O. had answered the question in the other post.
Not sure what Dr. O meant by his comment "answered",, I looked at two of the videos placed after your post--unless he implied that you might go blind. Seems to me to be a bit tacky of an answer if that is what he meant.
In any case, I had a toric lens implanted in my left eye 6 weeks ago after I had had lasik about 9 years ago. It appears as though my surgeon missed the lens prescription and made me VERY nearsighted. He suggested exchanging the lens with one having a different focal length. Which I agreed to do,,not wanting to wear glasses or contacts, and after reading about risks from PRK lasik. My eyes had previously had mono from the original lasik,,which I loved until cataract problem..Left eye was for reading/computer,, right eye for distance.
In any case, the exchange took place this past Wednesday, 2 days ago,, and I am elated. I still have the scratchy, watery thing that followed the first surgery--using drops-antibiotic pills, etc. But can now read my odometer on the car and am using my computer without glasses. I am sure there are risks,, key probably is finding a surgeon who has done the exchanges, with high batting average. My guy appeared confident and has an excellent reputation and I am glad I went through with the exhange. My feelings may change in following weeks,, but think I am probably past the "high risk period".
