Washing out eye

I sprayed deodorant a while ago after my shower. I usually close my eyes when spraying in case it gets into my eyes. When I closed my eyes I got a sensation in one of them. It wasn’t a sting or pain, just a sensation. Afterwards the eye felt a bit uncomfortable but I have anxiety issues regarding my eyes which cause sensations like that anyway. Anyway, I washed out my eyes for 5 minutes in case any mist from the deodorant got in my eye (which I don’t think happened). Would 5 minutes have been enough to wash it?
