What is main cause of blurry vision after cataract surgery

Dear Doctors:  Vision has been blurry with and without corrective lenses in the eye that had crystalens implant six months ago.  Can't see well enough to read or drive.  Have edema; macular pucker; haven't had YAG.  Distortion is also present but blurriness is my main concern at this point.
1) Is edema the main culprit?
2) When is a pars plana vitrectomy indicated and could that help?
3) How much risk is there of YAG and PPV causing more edema?
Thank you.

I am a fellowship trained retinal surgeon and have done over 8000 retinal procedure.  I was one of the first in Los Angeles to peel epiretinal membranes.  Retinal surgery is a young man's specialty and I had always planned to do less of it I as I got older.  Too many emergencies.

Thank you very much.  There are not so many refractive surgeons who also have knowledge of retina issues.  Hope your surgery went well.

1) It could be the pucker.  A f/a and OCT will determine how much edema is present.

2)  It depends on your needs.  My cut off is about 20/40 to 20/50 best corrected

3) some.
