Toric lens for "lazy" eye?

I am 66 and will be having cataract surgery soon in both eyes.  I have astigmatism in both eyes, one of which is a "lazy eye" which provides me essentially with only peripheral vision.

In response to a post from another forum member, Dr. Hagan noted that an implant in a lazy eye at least would improve side vision.  I have selected an astigmatism-correcting Toric lens for my "good" eye.  I am wondering if I should also get a Toric lens for my "bad" eye.

Thank you for any insights you might be able to offer.

It really depends on the visual potential.  This can be determined by a PAM test.  If your lazy eye ( amblopia )is mild I would recommend a Toric if moderate to severe it is a waist of money.

Would it be worth it if your best vision prior to cataract was about 20/60?  Lazy eye and stigmatize was always present
If the cataract is large and the vision not nearly as good as before the cataract developed then cataract surgery is appropriate.
