cataract surgery AT LISA

Hello. I've just been operated 2 weeks ago for cataract and the lens used are AT LISA 809M. The problem is I cant see clearly further than 50 cm (I see very well closer). The diopter for the implanted lens is +26,5 and I'm confused about this. What this diopter means? Before operation I didn't wear glasses, I didn't see perfect but acceptable at distance (no problem with reading at TV). Does the new lens diopter correspond to the glasses diopter I would need before surgery? Thank you.

Hello,
the power of the IOL corresponds to the power of the natural lens which was taken out of your eye.
So the result of the surgery was myopia. The power of the IOL was a bit to high.
There are several ways to act now. Lens exchange is complicated so I'd prefer other options.
You could wear glasses or contacts. Lasic is another option.
Please talk to your surgeon.

"IOL calculation is not an exact science."
That's what I read somewhere.
If you want to know more about the calculation there are videos about the IOL Master:

and there is an introduction into IOL calculation:

I was afraid that this will be the answer. I can't imagine how this error was possible, this mistake is probably very rare.
Thank you so much for your answer!

You ended up near sighted.  The diopter of the lens is only a gross indication of your preop refraction.  You need discuss the results with your surgeon.
