Possible loss of vision?

Hello, I am a 22 year old male, college undergrad. This winter break, with my free time, I watched alot of TV and played video games, almost all day, but not everyday. I sit between 3-4 ft away from the tv. About a week and a half ago, I started feeling a slight pain above my right eye, so I thought I was overstraining my eye. Over the next 2 days after I first started feeling this pain, my eye became red over time, and remained red for about 5 or 6 days. Now it is slowly going back to normal, and the pain went away, but I'm not seeing as clearly through it as I used to. I'm really worried about what may have happened. If I really did overstrain my eye, could that have really led to loss of vision?
