eye injuury

I was hit by a racquetball directly in my left eye one week ago.  There is still low grade pain and my eye is bloodshot.  My eye is sensitive to light and when my eye is open I am seeing what looks like a jagged thread that appears to be extended outward - like looking through a cracked glass window.  No money for doctors - will this go away by itself? Sl

I agree with patconner.  This jagged treat could be blood or a vitreous detachment.  This could lead to a retinal tear and retinal detachment.  The light sensitivity is indication of inflammation in the front of the eye and needs treatment.

Get seen ASAP.
