Hi. I have a center cornea scar and it really affects my vision. I had this after LASIK. I had DLK after LASIK a month ago. Now the DLK is healed but it left a scar on my right eye. My doctor says it is very thin but since it is in the center of my cornea, it greatly affects my vision-my work, my everyday life. We must not lose hope. This can clear-up overtime. I am currently taking predforte, maxitrol, duotrav and vigamox. With these meds, I also pray:) Miracles do happen everyday! :)
This is very interesting about B5. I had ulcer and susequent scar 5 months ago, now I'm no longer taking steroids and looking to do at least something to help my scar. so b5 huh?
I don't know if this will help, but when I was taking very large doses of vitamin B5 (for adrenal fatigue) after a few months I noticed that the long scar I had, had almost disappeared. I discussed this with my doctor because it was a curiosity. I believe B5 is used in the early stages to lessen scarring. Yet my scar was 40 years old. Try B5. You have nothing to lose. I was taking 1000 mg. daily. I noticed the scar reducing after several months, but it may have started earlier. I wan't looking for it.
Ok the scar is slightly to the left but still slightly in the center, is there any possible with time the scaring will be reduced that the center will no longer be affected and il regain vision?
Most scar do not go away and if in the center, vision will be reduced.
