long term use of phenylephrine drops

Hi,

I was wondering if you know of any long term problems if taking phenylephrine drops over an extended period of time. I told my doctor that dilation helps masks my floaters and he prescribed these to use as needed. The work at hiding my worst floaters without distorting my vision, but make me more sun sensitive (I'm very good about using sunglasses). The doctor indicated that they are safe for the long term, but I'd love to get a second opinion. They do mild dilation for about 3 hours, and then I reapply if needed. Using them 5-6 days a week.

Thanks,

Distracting.

It helps so it's not a bad for now. One retina doctor I saw said they used to use dilating drops with cataract patients before cataract surgery was as safe as it is now so he did not hesitate to prescribe.

As long as it doesn't raise your blood pressure or cause your heart to beat too fast it should be okay. I have never used neo for that purpose.
