my poor eye!!

ok...i'm a college student who is working hard. one night from a long day of school i went to sleep wit my contact in my eyes and woke up the next morning wit my eyes red, burning, i barely could open them, and around my the iris was red. i slept n my contacts before and this never happened so why is it happening now?

Not very smart.  See an ophthalmologist if it does not improve with discontinuation of the contact lenses for a few days.

You may have applied pressure on eyes during sleep & since contacts were there it might have scratched around cornea or due to lack of tears your eyes may turned red (since contacts were 'on' for so long cornea part may not got enough tears to nourish it during sleep)

Anyway telling about past is of no use,now you can do is to apply some over the counter lubricating tear drops as often as needed & not forget to remove your contacts while sleeping next time.
