new glasses causing distortion!

so i just bought new glasses and i am still having problems with them! i have bad eye sight  -8.0 /-8.25, and buying new glasses have always been a hassle. so much that normally i avoid new glasses as long as possible because it normally takes any where from 4-7 tries to get the lenses correct!!!!!! its frustrating- esp now that all these new lenses have come out.

bc of my high prescription i keep to the same shape of glasses. 2 yrs ago i bought a traditional ray band frame for prescription sunglasses and they are fine. now i bought new ray band glasses (normal everyday glasses) for college and have made 3 stops already to lenscrafters complaining about the lenses.

at first everything about my Rx had changed. we redid my Rx and kept the vertex and cylinder the same as my old glasses only changed the strength. we then figured that the Optical center was off and fixed that.
however i am still experiencing distortion!! :(  and this time the optical center was dead on.

i am in a polycarbonate lens w/ antiglare. and so far everyone is blaming the distortion on the polycarbonate- except i have been in polycrb for 4yrs now and i haven't had this problem before.
so now i am starting to blaming the antiglare. i have noticed that while i am in very well lit areas/outside i have very little to no distortion. but the second i walk inside/ in dim lighting i immediately notice the distortion (almost a wavy/ sometimes fishbowl feeling)
i dont know what to do anymore. i am in love w/ the frame and dont want to give them up- only fix the problem with the lenses. and i dont understand why my sunglasses (the same frame) are fine but these are horrible.

we have tried adjusting the frame itself- giving them more face curve and adjusting the temples/ bhind the ears. still nothing.

is it possible its really the antiglare? If not, is there a way to increase the radius of my Rx/ optical center on the actual lens to try and cut down on the distortion?

This is a common problem with high prescriptions.  It is best to keep everything the same except for the prescription change.  I doubt this caused by the antiglare.  You should always return to the same doctor.  They should know what worked.
