I had a orbital and nasal fractures. It’s been almost 3 YEARS and I still have a minor black eye.

A black eye will not last that long since the black eye is due to red blood cells (RBCs) and they only live 120 days. What often happens is  with the injury some of the subcutaneous tissue and fat wastes so the skin is thinner and it shows the veins under eight and looks darker. At 3 years what you should do is find a good skin concealer.

I had an orbital floor fracture as a result of a blow to my left eye about a month and half ago. I had severe swelling and as a result of the injury two black eyes. All of the bruising has gone away and the black eye has since faded but it left a slight discoloration under my left eye. It has yet to fade away and I am worried that this would be permanent. I understand your frustrations.

I have a very similar problem.  I was hit with a baseball when I was 16 in the eye.  The ball was going like 85 mph and the doctor told me I was very fortunate to have not broken the orbital socket.  The black eye was tremendously swollen--worse than anything I've seen in a UFC fight--for like two months.  After that I could always feel some strange hard bumps on the bone structure and it protruded much further than the other eye socket...the outside of the eye just below the temple.  It has not been noticable for about five years, but over the last two months the swelling is much more noticable and the eyelid below the eye is much puffier.  Honestly I have developed dark circles under my eyes the last couple of years too.  This is probably a contributing factor.  The eye looks absolutely terrible and I'm afraid the damage is permanent too.  I'm not even sure plastic surgery could help me, assuming I could even afford it.

I"m not talking a traumatic black eye, I'm talking dark pigmentation of the skin as a result of an injury. There is nothing you can do except cover it up. Talk to your surgeon.

You may experience some improvement over the next 6 months. In the meantime you will need to put up with it or get some "cover" make up and use. Different brands are discussed on these forums. You can use the search feature to find them.
