red/brown spots on iris (green eyes)

I've recently noticed red/brown spots on my iris, (green eyes) it doesn't seem to affect my vision. should i be concerned?

generally these are normal "iris freckles" but if they are new and not there before (more likely you've just noticed them) then see an ophthalmologist.  Ask the Eye MD to take a look before they are dilated

Thanks for the reply, I'm 22, haven't really noticed them before. Will get an appointment soon just to be on the safe side. Thanks for the advice.
