Bubbles can be multiple or single. This is probably a smaller bubble next to a large bubble.

In my case, it's definitely not a phobia. I have no fear of edges, corners, or other sharp objects, and don't mind being near them or touching them. It is only when they are in my direct field of vision that I have a problem. I react as if these things are physically affecting my eyes. I've been discussing this with neurologists recently (I have polyneuropathy, among other things) and they feel it is probably neurological in origin. I'm seeing a psychologist too, and he dismissed the idea of it being a phobia, as I have zero mental fear or discomfort regarding such things.
