shadow behind eye and severe headaches

I have been having what my doctor calls "thunder headaches" for around 3 months now, they come on within 30 seconds and last no more than 3-5 minutes but the pain is excruciating. She also found a shadow behind my right eye today and has referred me on. I'm 26 and generally feel fine other than quite fatigued...and now worried! Any advice please

I'm sorry, but in terms of anatomy, 'shadow behind the eye' doesn't mean anything.  Probably your doc was trying to put something medical into common English, but only he/she knows what this refers to.

Whatever doc you have been referred to will have your medical records and perhaps some idea of why this phrase was used.

i suggest you google this:

cluster headache

You might very well find something that helps you understand what you're experiencing.
