sudden blurred vision

About 4 months ago I noticed that my left eye was not focusing very well at any distances.   Also it was seeing color and shade/light differently that my right eye. Similar to how it looks to try to read just after looking at the sun. I do were contacts to help me see farther away. I went to an eye dr. and he could find anything that wrong with it or that would be causing it, and he could not make it see better. He didn't seem concerned and said to only come back if it got worse.  It hasn't gotten worse, but it hasn't gotten better either, and I am concerned.  I can feel it straining, by the end of the day it feels like and optic tooth ache.  Do eyes just stop functioning as well for no apparent reason?   I was using alot of hardcore addhessives at work, could the fumes from those chemicals have caused it? Also I was taking minocycline prior ? Can eye damage repair itself over time?

Get a second opinion, and make sure it is from an ophthalmologist.  It is unlikely to be related to the adhesives or fumes.  Don't know about the minocycline, but your complaints deserve another look at your optic nerves.
