visual auras when I wake up in morning

I am getting grid like , geometrical patterns , and shapes in my feild of vision but only as I awaken in morning.  I have a history of visual migraines. But these seem different. I went to my eye specialist who said it could be due to low blood pressre while Im sleeping my blood pressur is lower. ? can low blood pressure actually cause a migraine aura. I am also getting ringing in ears. Is this a migraine aura or something else. I have really bad anxiety about my health..can anyone relate>? any responses would be appreciated

Hi,
My retinal specialist did a complete eye exam. I should also mention that I have Bests disease (vitelliform macular degeneration). He said that low blood pressure could cause these symptoms. that our lblood pressure gets lower when we sleep. he is a specialist. and I trust him. I also have anxiety disorder and your post scared me. I went to an ENT and was tested there as well. I also went to my regular dr and got all my blood work done . I had an MRI done about ten months ago and the drs say that I dont need another one yet. I was told that aneurysms and tumers have different symptoms. and my vision is fine during the day. no problems. just ocassional headaches. I am also in peri menopause.

It is extemely unlikely that a migraine aura would be present on awakening and low blod pressure is not a cause of migraine that I have ever heard or seen. NOTE: It is important you have this and the ringing in the ears (tinnitus) evaluated. They may or may not be related but they are both concerning symptoms.

If you have a pesonal MD ask for a referral to an Ear-Nose-Throat MD (ENT) and schedule an exam with a hearing test.

I would also suggest you ask for a referral to a neurologist.

DO NOT IGNORE THESE TWO SYMPTOMS>
