wavy distortion post scleral buckle

Hi !i have a concern.its now 2mths post my husbands retinal detachment and scleral buckle op.,which the doc says has been a success.just when things were looking good,he got his glasses and the headaches have gone he has begun to see a distorted image in the operated eye.this distortion which was only appearing one week ago in the morning now troubles him the whole day?also he has begun to see the floaters more clearly now.please need some advice we did go for a second opinion and the doc says all looks good give it time.but the distortion is getting worse not better.very worried.will this be permenant.thanks

thank-you.my husband did a oct 2 wks ago.the ultrasound according to his surgeon was fine.is it possible that he could have developed it since then.also i remember the doctor saying that there is no scaring and uo have to wait till the retina is flat.is it possible that he could have developed it since.?also the doctor re did his cataract whilst he operated him for the retinal detachment.as the stitches to the cataract operation were raw and needed to be redone during the scleral buckle op.please advice if there could be any other reasons for the wavyness?thanks

Could be a macular pucker (also called epi-retinal membrane) which would be easily visible on OCT test.  Also cataract could be forming.
