Decreased distant after Crystalens implants

I had Crystalens implants and had excellent vision immediately post-op for about two weeks.  My vision then gradually got worse and now 1 yr later my distant vision is worse than it was before the surgery.  I did develop capsules over the lens which were removed by laser.  I am a trap shooter and my scores keep going down because I cannot clearly see the target.  I would do almost anything to correct this problem.  Could I have the Crystalens removed and replaced with a mono-lens.  Could you recommend an ophthomologist  who would consider removing and replacing the lens.

Also after Yag it is quite common for the crystalens to loft forward slightly changing your RX. Whatever you do dont let them talk you into Lasik!

Sounds like your vision is changing. almost like you are ever so slightly nearsighted. I also had this happen after crystalens. In the Dr office they always said  I was plano (no correction needed) but distance always looked fuzzy. I ended up buying some glasses from a discount site on the web, at $7 each I could try some options. I found a -1 diopter correction did the trick.

Please post this query in the related forum. Surgery again may have complications. If repeated laser therapy helps clear the membrane, this may help to restore vision. Check with your doctor.
