Looking for July cycle buddies starting IUI.

Thought it would be nice to share symptoms and how we are feeling. I start the Gonal F tomorrow. 75 ml x 5 days. Then go back for us to check follicle sizes. My dr wants them to be 20 mm before HCG trigger. Then two IUI's then the dreaded 2ww!!! I will have a booster HCG as well after ovulation. Anyone get BFP after one round of IUI? I had been on clomid 100 mg for three months, with no BFP but did ovulate. But RE thinks my eggs still werent maturing to the size they need to get pregnant.

Hi. We are planning our first IUI in July too. We were to do it in June but we had too many follicles and my lining was too thin so we cancellled. So we r hoping this mo goes better. This is your first round of IUI then? Let's keep in touch to share experiences. Best wishes.

How did the injection go? Hope it wasn't too painful.  Do you use a opk or just see your RE to check whether or not you're ovulating next? This will be your first IUI, correct? You'll have to tell me how that goes.  I'm a bit nervous about it. The HSG procedure was a bit uncomfortable for me so I'm not looking forward to another catheter being stuck up there.

No, it wasn't bad. I bleed yesterday though. Yes this will be my 1st IUI. And my RE will be doing u/s to check size of eggs for the trigger shot, so I won't have to use OPK, but I do have them. Plus the clearblue monitor. LOL, but its so nice this month not having to do bbt, peein on OPK and monitor sticks. I feel very relaxed. Also not taking that clomid. That stuff was about to make me go bonkers. The hot flashes were so intense and moody as can be. I heard that IUI isn't painful at all and you actually dont feel a thing, so that is what Im praying for.

Also going through 2ww, although I am half way through it. This was my first iui, after clomid 150 (days 5-9) and ovidrel injection 9 days ago. I had the iui done one week ago and had a progesterone done today. It was 15, although I'm not really certain what that means--other than there is a chance I ovulated according to the technician that called with the results? I'd love to find a buddy going through this...seriously the longest two weeks of my life, and I don't feel like I can concentrate on anything...

Good luck to all that are TTC. This site and reading all of the success stories has been so encouraging. Hoping that we all get our BFP this month! :)

Hi Ladies.....

Glad to find some people starting IUI/IVF and their 2ww!  The last thread I was on ended up mostly in BFP's....I was one of the few BFN!!  :o(........This is our 2nd IUI.  Clomid 100mg days 3-7 and no monitoring as we will prob move on to IVF next time and wanted to save our money for that.  Only OPK and Fertility Monitor.  Which mine jumped from "low" fertility to "peak" or ovulating today!  So...IUI for tomorrow.

Well the iui went fabulous. DH numbers were great 9million!! She said that was great for a iui cycle. My endo thickness is 9mm so that was good and I got a positive on my opk last night so I defintely know that my eggers were waiting on his sperm today! Praying for a miracle to happen in my belly today! SSBD to all entering the 2ww!

Heaver, that is wonderful news.  We all hope that miracle happens for you too. Keep us updated.

I'm on cd5 and am taking the reduced amount of clomid (25 mg).  Praying that I have a good number (but not too many) follicles and at least 8mm endo thickness.  Can't wait until next Wed when I start opk.

Best wishes to the rest of you.  May your tww go quickly and result in a BFP!

2nd IUI done and now entering the 2ww. I was wondering if I should still put my positive OPK in because the nurse thinks I ovulated yesterday but I still got a postive OPK today and I wonder if its because of the HCG trigger. Oh well, I will just count from today on as today was the last IUI. So tomorrow will be 1 dpo....starting the long journey to find out if all this was worth the trouble and heartache. If not, I will be taking a much needed break. I don't know how much more of this I can take. DH says I can't take a break, but he isnt the one pumping hormones into their body. And disrupting there lifestyle each month (aka exercise, going out with friends) like I have for the past 15 months.
Ok, I needed to get that all off my chest. Whew. I feel better now. LOL

Hi ladies,

My 1st cycle of clomid/iui with trigger was a bust.  Tomorrow I go in for CD3 u/s.  If all goes well, then I will start my 2nd round.  I have to admit I was really disappointed the iui didn't take with 2 good sized follies. but what did i expect, statistics show iui success rates are within 3-6 rounds.  2 of my friends got preggers with #4 round.  seems like a lot to put ourselves through, but i am still hoping to achieve that BFP:)

@Heaver - Congrats on making it to the 2ww and a smooth IUI. I was also testing OPK and HCG after my first IUI and I found that the trigger shot stayed in my system for 11 days (I was getting positive OPK's until 6diui and faint positive HPT until 11diui).  It is good to know this ahead of time in the game, so you wont drive yourself nuts trying to test all the time for the following rounds.  I know for my 2nd iui coming up I will not do a HPT until 13diui. I totally understand your feelings of wanting to take a break.  It is your body and you know what's best.  Hopefully, you get your BFP and you'll have 9 months of rest from all the testing:)
Goodluck and baby dust to everyone else on your 2ww.

Thanks so much for the information. That is good to know. I was wondering why I kept gettin positive with the OPK, I did take an HPT too lol, and of course it was positive. I just once wanted to see the two lines. Because I missed seeing that :( even though I know that it isn't true, makes me feel good. LOL

I did the same thing with the HPT's last month when I took my trigger shot.  It is almost a year since my last pregnancy and m/c and I just really wanted to see those words, even though I knew they weren't correct......I OPK'd and the HcG was still in my system for 6 days after the shot.  It really did make me feel good!

To Trytryagain:  Good luck and hoping this is your month!!!  1DPIUI....I already dread the wait!!  LOL!

Esmie:  You will get your BFP!!  I'm hoping it only takes you 2 rounds.....hoping this 2nd round works for me too!!

Hugs to all the ladies in waiting!!!  ***baby dust***

It was pretty awesome seeing that positive.... after all the many negative tests we've done=P

@Waitingforsunshine: Do you have any symptoms so far after your IUI? I agree, it would be awesome if this rounds sticks for all of us:)

@Heaver: I'm sorry you're not feeling 100%. I was so sore after the trigger shot and really bloated the following days.  Hope you get some rest tonight!

Lots of baby dust to all in the 2ww.
