No 2nd period after D&C

Hi All

Wondering if anyone can help? I had a D&C on 3rd of Dec after a scan at 10 weeks showed no heart beat, and medical management did not remove everything.  My Dr said the D&C was not easy and later found out that this was probably caused by a polyp as a biopsy showed abnormalities in the material.  I had a peiod 28 days after the D&C but nothing since.  Its 8 weeks since my last period (it was a lighter period than I am used to) and I dont know why I havnt had another one.  I am not pregnant as have done many tests, but feel pre menstral.  I am really worried that I may have scaring from the D&C which is stoping the period.  I am desperate to get back to normal and start ttc again, but dont understand whats going on.

I would be greatful if anyone has any similar experiences to share?

I would have your doctor check for scarring.  That is a real possibility after a dnc (although they will tell you it is very rare...blah blah blah). I'm not saying that is the cause, but it very well could be.  They could to a saline induced sonohystogram to rule it out, as a regular u/s will not show scarring.  Also, if your cervix is scarred, blood may not be able to exit.  hense the premenstal feelings, but no period.
Please let me know if I can help in any way!

Call you GYN/OB is you haven't already and ask.  This is something he or she may want to know.

It may take you a few cycles to get back to what is normal for you. I had a m/c at 6wks but didn't need a d&c and it took about 2 cycles for af to be back to normal for me.
