i just went to my 2wk follow up after a d/c at 9.5wks and they are testing me for all that on june. 1st. let me know how things go or what they tell you, i may be in your same situation real soon :(
I will share more of my story with you, I have had 4 miscarriages in the past 2 years all in the first trimester around 9 -12. 2 of them required D/C. I finally got sent to the fertility doctor cause its not abormal they told me til I had 3 misscarriages and when I was making my appointment I got pregnant. But, eventually misscarried and it was by far the worst one I had ever experienced.
I went to the doctor and immediately he came up with a game plan for me, and I got a load of blood work done and it came back abnormal and he sent me to a hematologist who (of course) wanted more blood work and my results are what I post. My Appointment is not til middle of may but will share what was said .... I do know that if /when I get pregnant again they will be giving me daily shots of something like heparin
GOOD LUCK to you!
i had a miscarriage, had my daughter, then ectopic, then miscarriage with d/c.
please keep me posted and I will do the same!
my grandfather has factor 5 (blood clotting disorder) so thats why they are now questioning all the other coagulation stuff.
Best wishes!
My appointment is today in about 5 hours and next week is with a high risk OB for a pre conception appointment.
I am having all these appointments and when I started I was just looking for WHY and HOW can we fix it. I feel like these doctors keep pawning me off to other doctors. I get very depressed through out the process.
Doctor confirmed APS and said for me to have a chance in maintaining a pregnany I would need to be on blood thinners. He said he would reccomend that I take Lovenox before trying, while pregnant ( stopping before labor) and then again after. He said he believes that I probably only have clotting issues while pregnant but taking daily aspirin may help.
My High Risk OB appointment is Tuesday and he also said that he will have final say about how to proceed with pregnancy. The hematologist thought it was a low risk for me to try on my end but he also said that the OB would know better if I would be able to from the baby stand point.
I also am having a hard time getting in to see a rheumatologist, the hematologist didn't know anything about me having Lupus , he said I was sent to him because of the clotting . Which makes sense, so now I am off to a rheumatologist.
