Ok not really a question, just wanted to complain about this injection. I've been on it since Nov 3 and still have 2 1/2 weeks left on it.Don't me wrong, I'm so excited and lucky to be pregnant, but my goodness my butt is so sore and I think I'm losing feeling in a part of one of my legs. Not sure I can last these next two and a half weeks. Any words of encouragement?

Thank you both for your responses. Two months of injecting daily took its toll on me, but I am happy to say that my doc had given me the ok to stop taking them. Lynn buy a heating pad and warm up your injection before injecting. Don't get it hot, just warm. Right after injection, have your hubby massage area to help distribute oil so it won't clump. Then lay on bed with the heating pad for a few minutes. That helped me a lot, but after a month and a half of injecting my butt really just couldn't take it anymore. It doesn't help that I don't even have much if a butt to begin with (I am 5'5 and wear junior size 3 jeans, to give you an idea how small my butt is) seriously try the tips I gave you, it helped me for a while. Good luck!

Ugh... now you have me wondering how many more weeks I may end up one these injections. I've been on them since Dec 9th and lets just say, my hubby has a hard time finding a place to inject that doesn't end up hurting me. Between the bruises and the lumps I am praying this time will go by quickly. I'm thinking like you I will be needing needing a cheering section to help get me thru them. The best I can offer is you are doing the best thing you can do for your baby. Just think its sort of like a slightly extended two week wait, if you can get thru that you can get thru the next 14 plus injections. Good luck.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there,
Progesterone injection is indicated in amenorrhea and abnormal uterine bleeding due to hormonal imbalances. It is given to prepare the endometrium for implantation of an embryo and is used as part of an assisted reproductive technology or ovulation induction. These injections are very painful. You can try using ice before for like 2 minutes this can numb the area. Applying oil after the shot can also distribute the oil and avoid clumps. Keep patience. Since you have already started the treatment complete it. Discuss your concerns with your doctor. I hope it helps.
Best wishes and regards!
