12.5 FSH, blocked tube & fibroid

I just turned 37 and got some pretty depressing news.  I was referred to a specialist and after testing I was told that I have one partially blocked fallopian tube. My FSH is at 12.5 and I may have a fibroid on top or around my uterus. The doctoI r told me that my chance of getting pregnant is only about 10-15%.  The Doctor wants me to come in and do a follow-up blood test to test my FSH again and then consider having my fallopian tubes and the fibroid removed. This was a lot to take at one time, any advice? Do I really have to have so many surgeries in order to get pregnant, is my FSH really so high? His prognosis was so bleak, am I really in such terrible shape?

I am curious to know why they want to remove your tubes?  I believe IVF is probably the best option for you given the high fsh & tube issue.  It's still possible you can get pregnant it will just be harder & may take alittle longer.
We are all here for you...........so stay strong & relax as best as you can until you get all info.

I am wondering what you are referring to when you said the Dr is recommending you have everything removed except uterus?  Are you also trying to get pregnant? Are you doing iVF?
