1st ivf failed

after 5failed iui's i moved to ivf(icsi) dis july....9 eggs retrieved and 3 fertilised...out of them transfered 2...but no implantation...heartbroken...would love to kno if anyone went thru' similar problem and still got pregnant after a failed ivf...thanx ladies

m 32...m thinkin of donor eggs or embryos next time..will not take any chance wit my bad eggs

Hey poppy, i havent been on line so long i didnt know that you where going for ivf. sorry to hear it didnt take first time. I know it must be hard. That is my next root, but at this stadge we still not sure we will be able to afford it. I am going back to the specalist on 13septemeber after a 8.5 month break. So lets see what he has to say... keep smiling and all your faith. bbsd

YES!  There is hope.  Our first IVF (the fresh cycle) failed.  HEARTBREAKING!  Our second round of IVF (frozen cycle) took and now I am 28 weeks pregnant!  (After 7 years of trying EVERYTHING else!)  Sending love and hugs your way!

I know your pain. My first IVF got cancelled due to poor response. So i have not even passed further stages and in the process of doing second IVF now. i did read like first couple of attempts seem to be failure for so many women. now your RE might understand your body and response much better and ask him to try a different protocol now so that next cycle would be a successful one.

first IVF is more like trial and error for 90% of the women. you are not alone. dont worry. keep up the hope.
