Hi
My pregnancy was 5 weeks 2days when I had ectopic and my right tube was removed. At four weeks along the preg, I started spotting and this continued for 8days. When I visited my doctor on the 8th day of spotting, I had a surgery. However its 5 weeks after the surgery and I have started spotting with severe abdominal pains and a very sharp pain on my left abdomen but very little bleeding. My next doc appt is until 20th March. I started having unprotected sex from the 10th day of my surgery and I've been sexually active since. Could this light spotting be that I'm preg again? or could it be the start of my first period. My husband and I are very worried. Pls help

Hello,
Since one of the fallopian tubes has been removed by salpingectomy, as long as the remaining tube is healthy, your chances of conceiving after the salpingectomy are only slightly diminished. There is about a 15% risk of a repeat ectopic after an ectopic, hence you should get regular follow ups done.
I hope it helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
