I feel for you. We just had our transfer last Sat. So I'm day 6 post transfer. We had 5 eggs retrieved, all mature. Only one made it. I had my transfer day 3, and the embryo was a 8 and grade B. So at least they were confident that it was a strong embryo. I go in Weds for my blood test. Im so nervous. I am having a few symptoms. Sore breats adn cramping. But, I know that can be from all the hormones too. So im trying not to read into it.
wow, didn't know that about how many cycles have ones to freeze. I was hoping that we would, but now I guess I know to expect not to have any make and if we do then we are very lucky.
Only 30% of all iv cycles have frozen embryos.
I went through 2 ivf cycles. First cycle we had on day 3 two 5-cell embryos and one 6-cell embryo, all fragmented and none made it to blast on day 5 to freeze. I got bfp and now have a 3 year old.
Ivf cycle#2: I only had 4 embryos total: three 4-cell and one 3-cell, all fragmented and one day behind. I got bfp and now 7 weeks pregnant with twins.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!
I got a call on the morning of my day 5 transfer saying don't come in as out of my 14 embies, only 4 were at morula stage. Doc said they wanted to wait to day 6 and if any made it to blast, they would freeze and we'd do a FET the following month. I was very discouraged as now I had slow growing embryos and FET which both have lower preg rates plus what if they didn't survive the thaw?! We ended up freezing then transferring 2 blasts and on the day of beta, I went in telling my nurse that I had no symptoms whatsoever so don't think it worked. But lo and behold, + beta and at 6 weeks the symptoms came with a vengeance! I've read many women who had failed blast transfers getting preg with 3 day transfers. My first DD was a 3 day transfer (and we had none to freeze). I'm now 11 weeks... good luck and keep positive, though it's hard!
