That's amazing news! Congrats! so happy for you! I'm hoping this frozen cycle works for me. I am still wondering if should do a fresh cycle with CGH/PGD instead.
I have a lot of health issues and our doctor recommended we do PGD to determine the best embryos to implant. (Auto-immune diseases and some other things going on - Lyme Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, etc.) I was also going through pre-menopause. I know it seems young, but both my mother and my sister were completely finished with menopause in their mid-30's. We tried for seven years to get pregnant without success. (I shouldn't say that - we got pregnant after a year of trying, but it ended in miscarriage. We weren't able to get pregnant again for six years after that.) When we did PGD, they were able to determine the absolute BEST possible embryos. Our first cycle (fresh cycle), however, unfortunately still didn't work out. But our second cycle (frozen cycle) did and we are now 25 weeks pregnant! Good luck!
thanks for your reply. Just curious, why did you do PGD? You seem young to have done it for chromosome issues etc. I am almost 40. with my first IVF last year, I had a m/c due to chromosome abnormality. It turns out i also have immune issues (that were tested after 2 subsequent IVF failures) but docs tell me my failures can also be because of chromosome abnormalities due to my age...
I haven't heard of CGH. But we did PGD.
