Thank you for your help...appreciate it!
I am 39 (38 at the time I did IVF) and am currently 37 weeks along, so yes, it is definitely possible to come up pregnant the first time with IVF. In my situation, the issue was mainly related to my husband (we had to do semen extraction due to a congenital defect); however, just by virtue of me being well over 35 my chances were significantly lower than someone your age and it still worked. It's a big decision, I know (and a very expensive one). Soooo been there and done that (and so have many women on here, so you're not alone).
If you look up the Society for Reproductive Technologies (SART), you will find all kinds of stats related to IVF. Personally, I looked at all that stuff but always tried to keep in mind that every woman's body is different, and everyone's circumstances are different. If I had held too much stock in stats for women my age, I might not have even have done the procedure. Just my opinion...Good luck!
many facilities have great % of sucess rates and your age should help you all lot. many women here have gotten pregnant on the first ivf treatment. i just got into my second week of the 2ww but this is also my first ivf-icsi but i am 29 im hoping for the best. baby dust and just relax if you do decided to go through with the procedure.
