Oh, and I forgot to mention I have PCOS as well.
HI. Another option for you might be femara. I tried clomid without success and injectibles without success. I got pregnant on my second cycle of femara + trigger + IUI. Femara is similar to clomid and much much cheaper than injectibles. Just another option you might want to look into. Good luck!!
Thank you very much ladies, I'm definitely going to speak to my doctor about the injectibles + trigger shot.
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR PREGNANCIES.
i too have pcos and did clomid for 6 cycles. i ovulated every time with great follies but only got pg 1 time, unfortuneatly ending in mc. so i just had my first iui back to back with gonal f pen-- FAILURE!!! (i did ovulate and follies were nice) i'm currently on my second round of gonal f cycle and for the first time my re is actually having a hard time with my estrogen levels---- who knows what'll happen this cycle! if you need to talk just email me, pcos--- to put it plainly--- sucks.
:) jess
i too have PCOS and i did clomid for 4 cycles with one failed IUI, i moved into injections after clomid and i got pregnant on the first cycle with gonal-f, the ovedril trigger shot and 2 IUIs back to back im now 21 weeks pregnant with my first.
After trying clomid and it wasent working i dint want to waste any more time and wanted somenthing more effective, so i would talk your Dr. about moving on to the next step,
Good Luck.
Your next step is injectibles with IUI or timed BD. But because you have Pcos you have the risk of growing many follicles while on injectibles and you cannot release all of them cause you can have hyperstimulation. I did six rounds of clomit and ovulated only once. Then i went to an Re and he put me on a combo of clomit+injectibles.I did this thing three times and got pregnant all three. The first two unfortunately ended in m/c and i'm currently preggo again. I grow 4 follicles with 200mg clomit 5 days+ a dose of150 of gonal f injectibles for 3 days. My re said we don't need more follicles than that. You also should have a trigger shot to induce ovulation cause you don't release the egg on your own.Talk with your doctor but injectibles are the next step
