Yes it does help you get pregnant and it can cause you to gain weight just try to make sure you watch what you eat and don't drink a lot of sodas or eat a lot of salt as they can make you retain water and swell and add weight gain good luck.

Just Curious what kind of clinic will not help you because of your weight? Isn't that discrimination????

I started taking 50mg of clomid almost a year ago.  I did if for 5 cycles, took a month off and then started doing 100mg for 3 cycles.  Today was my 3rd IUI on 100mg.  I haven't noticed any weight gain.  The only side affect I have is hot flashes.  They just started the last 3 cycles or so.  Now I know what I have to look forward to with menapause.  Hoping for BFP in 2 weeks!  Good luck all!!

I took Clomid for 4 months and didn't get pg. I am doing more testing now and took this last month off. It has made me gain weight which I hate and so I am now having to be much more careful of what I eat.

Yes, clomid does work and has helped many women...  I have not heard one of the side effects being weight gain. I myself have been on it before multiple times and did not gain any weight from it.

Best of luck!

I have been on clomid for three months now and its not working for me yet. I am now taking 100mg. Alot of people get pregnant from clomid. Its just not right for everyone. As far as gaining weight from clomid I havent heard that. But if you notice your gaining weight just start watching what you eat to help control it. Good luck And Hope it works for you.
