HPT after embryo implantation

Hello All.  I am new to this forum.  I had 2 Grade 1 embryos transferred on 11/30.  The doctor scheduled me for a blood test on 12/12 to see if I am in fact pregnant.  Going crazy with impatience I purchased a home pregnancy test and it shows negative.  Please explain to me what this means and if there is still a chance I can be pregnant.  I am very uneducated when it comes to this stuff.  I have had 2 children naturally in the past and remember the signs of pregnancy.  I have had some breast tenderness & cramping but it is not consistant like my previous pregnancies.  Please help me put my mind at ease!

Thank you for your responses... you have rekindled my hope (:  I will now just sit and wait for the doctor to do his job instead of trying to jump the gun and get my own answers.  I hope I haven't jinxed anything by taking a HPT!

I know how anxious you can be during the tww.  I have 2 children naturally as well and this was my 1st IVF cycle.  Nothing was like my 1st 2 pregnancies.  You really need to wait at least 13 days if you want the HCG to show up in the urine.  I took a HPT the day before I was scheduled to go in for my BETA and it was positive.  I was so very excited!  Just be as patient as possible.  I am going through the same thing waiting for my ultrasound on the 11th.

Sorry, I just noticed your transfer was on 11/30...so you're only 5 days past transfer. That might just be a bit early for a positive pregnancy test. Hopefully you'll get the two lines next week sometime! best of luck!!!

How many days past transfer are you? It might just have been too early for a HPT.
