Cycle day 1 or not yet

Ok so this is gonna be tmi

I always have trouble determining what cycle day 1 is.   I had some spotting yesterday so I put on a pad. When I woke this morning there was blood on the pad. My doc always said if you need to use protection then count it.  I have cramps and stuff today but still seems more of a spotting to me. A little on the pad but definitely not a full flow.

Now I don't normally have a heavy flow, I have a light flow but more then spotting.  I'm trying to figure it out because I have to take clomid cd 5-9

usually cd1 is counted as the first day of free flow of blood, so spotting usually isnt considered this, also if it happens later in the day/early evening you usually count the next day as cd1 as you should have a full day of free flowing blood :)

Cd1 is the first day of your period. but if you're not a heavy bleeder. I would count from when I started  bleeding as cycle day 1.
