To reply to Cherylzz, yes DHEA is still known to help egg quality. There is a lot of great research going on about DHEA the results are really promising. The most recent literature is showing that DHEA improves egg quality, quantity as well as reduces miscarriages.
However, my biggest advice would be to be under the care of a infertility physician who is experienced with DHEA treatment. If it is given inappropriately it can cause you to have too high of levels of testosterone and halt your ovulation completely. The only facility that I know of that has protocols for DHEA treatment programs is the Center for Human Reproduction in New York. Here is their link: http://www.centerforhumanreprod.com/

Dear Anitasto,
I have not checkef/posted here for long time. But wanted to update you and the others.
From Jan- April 2009 i was with CHR and gone through lot of tests before IUI. i also was taking DHEA. i got pregnant, but ended up with miscarriage at 6 weeks. I continued with DHEA but decided to move on. We were looking at surrogacy in india and completed our adoption paperwork by september 2009. We were preparing to visit india to explore surrogacy. I was also seeing Dr Abbasi to get various tests done for surrogacy.
During these tests we found out i wad pregnant. I haf given up on HPTs by then so i didn't do one before.
Fast forward to June 2010 when i delivered my son via c-sec. He is now healthy happy soon to be 6 month old boy!
I still have difficulty somethime believing when he is on my arms smiling.
So there. Was it DHEA? Perhaps it was or perhaps it was my time. But i would like to believe.
I am going back to DHEA soon as i stop breastfeeding!
I saw your book info. Congrats!!

I have been taking DHEA 75 mg for several months. I was able to concieve naturally, but I had a miscarry. Can you be on DHEA for long periods? Does it still help egg quality, etc? I am 41. Thanks/.
Has someone got a positive hpt before the first blood test? I am going crazy on this. Thanks!
Hi
I had blood work done and my doctor does not want to prescribe DHEA because of my
my Free Androgen index is High and my Sex Hormone Binding Globulin is Low. but if you look at my Testosterone level its in the normal range????
RESULTS BELOW
My Testosterone 2.1 nmoL/L Reference ranges (< 2.6)
My Sex Hormone Binding Globulin SHBG 18 nmoL/L Reference ranges (20 -118)
My Free Androgen Index 12 Reference ranges (<7.2)
DHEAS 9.8 umoL/L reference ranges ( 0.9-9-12)
The reason i want to take Dhea is because I have 3 ICSI IVF Failures & 1 IUI failure my age is not on my side being 46 this year...
If I do IVF again for the last time or lucky to conceive naturaly i want to give myself better chance / odds.
I had no problem with my eggs although only a few eggs 5, 4. 2 at three Egg retrieval they did fertilze my embryos were good so i was told all divided into 8 cells etc my problem I think was implantation issues ouchy
Im not from The US OR Canada the only way you can get DHEA is on prescription in my country not over the counter like you ladies from America. or Canada.
I came to this site because alot of you ladies have taken DHEA and have vast more knowledge then some Medical Doctors that do not know this DHEA Supplement what it can do to help with Quality and Quantity of Eggs.
Anyways I Hope someone can help me out what do you think of my blood work and my doctors decision not to prescribe it for me.
Thanks in Advance
