Due anytime Summer 2012

mhv
Hi ladies.  I know it's kind of early for me, being only 7wks 5days along, to start this, but I wanted to start sharing this journey with others due around the same time as me.

I know many of us (me included) are afraid to put ourselves out there this early, afraid that something might go wrong, but I have known so many of you for you long, that I just couldn't wait any longer to start sharing experiences with you.  I have never been this far along in a pregnancy, and am so sure I am going to have tons of questions.

I am expecting twins, and am still in shock! :)  We have a due date of Aug 9th, but It will probably be more like July 26th, due to it being twins
I feel pretty good most of the time,  but if I don't eat every 2-3 hrs, the babies let me know it!

Just wondering how everyone else is feeling, and wondering if anyone else has questions we can help each other with....

Hugs!!!

Hi everyone hope you all had a great Christmas and new year. As for me and the babies the drama never ends. Christmas Eve my son yazan screamed for hours so my husband and I took Him to hospital. The doctors sent us home and said it was just a sore throat. We won't home and he didn't stop screaming and nothing we could do to make him stop. So 3 hours later we went back to the ER. Yazan screamed even more and more and I knew as a mother then that this was more than a sore throat. Several hours later the doctors found what they suspected was something called intersusseption. Which means as a result of a viral infection his bowels went inside themselves like a telescope which caused excruciating pain. The way to fix it initially was an Air Enema. Which is a pipe of some sort which gets inserted into his bottom and they push some air in to remove one side of the bowel from the other. They only gave him morphine for the pain which didn't do
Much. My husband and I were In total shock and were devastated. I was crying for hours and hours and was terrified as the procedure may not work and if it didn't they would of had to operate. Also even if the air enema worked they said the chances of it coming back straight away was a possibility but thank god it worked. We spent 3 days in hospital. Even after we went home he was still unwell due to all the air they pushed inside him so he was very bloated an gassy and didn't feed well at all and on top of that he had a fever. I thank my lucky starts for boy listening tothe stupid doctors who initially sent us him with a sore throat and came back a few hours later as it could have been much worse.

Other than that after a good period of few weeks where they slept well and only woke up once at night for a feed, they have now been waking up 2-3 times a night for a feed at different times. So I'm waking up upto six times a night!!!! I can't wait for them to sleep right through the night.

Yara does really well on her tummy and can now roll to her sides but yazan hasn't rolled to either side. I don't know of its because they were born pre term that they haven't rolled from back to tummy or what?? Any ideas?  They both don't seem to like solids much. I have given them pumpkin, carrots and sweet potato but now am giving them rice cereal, which they are not enjoying either. :( :(

I'm so exhausted and due to go back to work in 4 weeks, I don't how I'm going to cope.

Anyways I'm so happy and pleased to hear that all the mums and babes are doing well.

Btw our friend 2long2qait from the future moms forum is now pregnant with twins!!! Congrats to her ! :)

Have a great day all. Xoxoxo

It seems everyones babies are keeping them busy! lol.

My boys are doing great! Hard to believe they will be 6 months old soon! Both boys started rolling from belly to back about a week ago and Aleks also rolls from back to belly. He did that right after he rolled from tummy to belly. Its been fun watching him roll across the room and then when he gets up against the couch he gets mad cause he cant remember how to roll back lol.

Both have been eating really good. Its amazing the different tastes they have. Aleks will definitly be the better eater. He loves everything but peas. Maks is like me and picky. He wont eat peas, squash, peaches and bananas. What baby doesnt like bananas??

They also increased their formula oz. Only about 5oz during the day then 6oz at night. They still wake for a feed in the middle of the night. Its never consistent either. More often they seem to wake at 4am, eat then go right back to bed till 8am, eat then back to bed till 10-11am. Some nights they wake at 2am, eat then up at 7am eat then bed then up at 10-11am. They seem alot happier when I keep them in bed till 10 or 11am. Before I would get them ready for the day by 7am (when they were in their swings) but that was because they wouldnt go back to sleep in the swings. I think being in their cribs has helped them sleep more even though its broken up sleep. Plus I am enjoying my bed! 4 months of not sleeping in my bed was hard. I honestly dont know how i survived those 4 months! Most of it seems like a blur from being so sleep deprived.

I wish I can get my boys to sleep through the night but they just won't. any suggestions from anyone on how that would be great!

Happy new year all my thread friends :)   The babies are doing well :). Cameron has been through all the veggies and all the fruits,a it seems there is nothing she doesn't love to eat :). Drake on the other hand, still prefers formula, and just barely tolerates oatmeal and he spits out peas. Lol.  He doesn't seem to mind  carrots or apples, but seems like food is never going to be a favorite for him. Haha.  They are both rolling from tummy to back, but not from back to tummy.  I guess that will come with time.
it is so hard for me to believe that they are going to be 6 months old in 20 days!!!!

Wow I have not posted in a long time.

Preston is keeping me very busy, and now I have my 7 year old home all day for another week because of christmas holidays.

Preston has been sleeping through the night for about the last 5-6 weeks. YAY! He's liking tummy time much better now. And he rolled from his back to his belly for the first time about a week ago. Then he rolled from his belly to his back a few days after that. He did the hard one first. It's hard to believe he's almost 4 months old already! Time sure does fly.

I hope everyone had a merry christmas, and happy new year to you all :)

Hello all! I tried to post a few days ago but it would not work for me :(

I am glad to see everyone doing well and that the little ones are starting to cooperate on the sleeping. It makes it so much easier.

My little girls are doing great. Their sleep is hit or miss nowadays. Their reflux was getting better so we stop the medication because it seems like it is better off it. Now it seems to be bothering Kayli a little more. She is the one that isn't sleeping so well. I don't know what to do now. I really don't want to start the meds again but might have to in the future. At their 2 month appointment they had gained nicely. They were up to 9 lbs 5oz and 9lbs 3oz. Doubling their birth weight! It made me happy to know they are growing very nicely.

I had some Christmas pictures made of them I will have to post when I see how they turned out! I am hoping they are good. Having their pictures made was a little challenging. Trying to make 3 kids, that are 2 1/2 and 2 at 11 weeks, cooperate is almost impossible. The photographer took a lot of pictures so hopefully some will turn out good.

Hard to believe my little girls are 12 weeks old already. Time sure does fly, but it is so good to have my little miracles. I have 3 beautiful little girls and wouldn't trade them for the world.

Merry Christmas to all and may you all have a blessed Christmas!
