severe pain after IUI

Hi All,

This is my first time using MedHelp. I really do hope that you can help me. I just found out today that my 3rd IUI attempt failed.

In 2007, I became pregnant on my first iui attempt. Since July 2009, I have been trying to get pregnant again. I had 2 failed IUI cycles and I failed IVF cycle in 2009. Each time after the semen/ embryo transfer, I got severe pain to my right groin, lower abdominal area. I find it hard to walk sometimes and the pain seemed to travel down the back on my upper leg.

It was suggested to me to have a laparoscopy. It turns out that I had severe endometriosis and my left fallopian tube was blocked. The surgeon was able to remove the majority of the endometriosis and unblock the fallopian tube. that was 3 months ago. I have justed complete another IUI attempt but again I got severe pain in my abdomen after the IUI transfer.

I would really like to know if there is anyone out there who is experiecing similar pains.

Many Thanks
XXX

Is it possible that the endometriosis could have reformed?  I am not that familar with endometriosis.  But that thought just popped in my head?.  Sorry I can't be of more help.  I hope your doc can figure out what is causing your pain. : (    Hang in there! And I hope you get your BFP soon!!!

xoxo,
Melissa
