FSH 10.2 mU/ml & Estradiol 25 pg/mL - Day 2

Hi there
I am 35 years old and my husband (36) and we were originally advised to undergo ICSI program due to low sperm count and mobility.
We were not expecting anything else to be wrong  however have recently seen my FSH and Estradiol results taken day 2 of my period and I am concerned. Can you advise as we do not have another appointment for another 2 weeks and I am really concerned. We are English - based in Spain, and would really appreciate any advice out there.
Many Thanks

Hi there
I wish you all the luck in the world! - let me know how you get on. My appointment with the doc. is on Monday - so will find out whether or not i can go ahead with ICSI or not.

Ellie I have the exact issues that you do?  We went to RE because we thought it was my husband but then we got my tests back and I have high FSH levels and he has a low sperm count.  We are doing egg retrieval tomarrow with ICSI.  I have had a FSH of 6 that within 5 months went to a 15 and now it tested at 11. I am 33 years old and have never been pregnant.  I was diagnosed with Diminished ovarian reserve.  So I don't have many eggs left and I am a poor responder to medicine.  So we are working with 3 follicals tomarrow and hopefully will at least end up with 1 egg.

Here's a great link on hormone levels.

BTW I meant to say I have heard of ICSI and i am sure it's very common.  But I just haven't got that far yet.

There's lots of success stories on here from ladies who did ivf or iui.  It's a great site and I have learned so much here.

thank you so much for taking the time to reply.
I just hope that my estradiol level isn't too low - anyway time for me to stop looking on the internet!
FYI - ICSI translated to intracytoplasmic sperm injection with IVF.
I think this forum is so fantastic! and I can see this being my link to sanity while going through this. Best of luck with you also

Don't worry just yet.  I am 35 also, with fsh of 9.8 on cd3.  My dr. is not worried too much about that FSH number.  And from what I have researched online, anything around 10 is okay.  My hubby's swimmers are okay, but we did clomid + iui anyway this month for the first time.  IF it didn't work , we will probably do it again next month with higher dosage of clomid.

I am sorry i don't know much more than that and i have never heard of icsi but I just want to say don't give up hope because with an aggressive approach it CAN still happen for you!

Good Luck
