FSH/IUI
Hi everyone,
I am 25 yrs old and TTC. You'll have to forgive me I'm not familiar w/all the abreviations yet, lol! My Dr. says I am VERY fertile and is worried about fertility meds so she has been taking it very slow w/medications. I went through 2 rounds of Clomid but never had any follicle's mature. I am now trying FSH Injections and have been on them for 7 days @ 50IU's and last night I was instructed to up it to 75IU"s, another 50 tonight then my first sono in the morning. I went for blood work on 10/25 and was told my Estradiol level was at 40.5. I have no clue if that's good/bad at this point in my cycle w/the injections. I have so many unanswered questioned that I can't wait to find out answers to in the morning! I am begining to get very frustrated, but after reading all your post's I am realizing I need to be patient... Yeah Right! I hope someone out there has some answers for me. Also I have been experiencing a butterfly feeling in my stomach for the last couple of days, is that a side effect of the meds?

My E2 was up to 690 yesterday and a fourth follicle has developed on my right ovary. This morning the three dominant follies measured 16, 18 and 19. Trigger shot tonight and IUI Wednesday morning! Hoping for the very best. Dreading my 2WW...
Oh good for you!!! Those three should keep on getting to a good size!!

Okay Ladies... I went yesterday for another sono/bw and my estrogen level was up to 437!! I now have 3 follicles measuring at 16, 13, & 12. I go back again tomorrow to see if the smaller follies are trying to catch up. Looks like my trigger shot will either be tomorrow/Monday and of course you know IUI will follow a couple days later! So excited! What a tense and hurry & wait 2 weeks are ahead of me...
Last update until Friday.. My estrogen level doubled I'm at 96! I am staying at 75 IU's! Wow I hope we have a miracle this cycle!!!
Hey, slowly but surely, that could be the way to go. You don't want to overstimulate - it's so heartbreaking, when a cycle has to be cancelled due to too many big ones. I hope it keeps on rising, and the follies keep on growing. It all sounds good!!!
Well I went in this am and I have 2 follicles starting to mature. They only measured 12/13mm so I still have a ways to go. I am waiting (patiently) on the phone call w/my blood work results. Hoping that she will up my follistim and get the show moving a little faster. She said that my estrogen level should be doubled today so hoping for good news.!!!

I'm trying for my third child using IUI, and using puregon. I'm now doing the TTW. Anyway, I had my first cycle cancelled because I created too many big follies, around seven of them were over 20 - 26mm. I was on 75iu. The RE was worried of me overresponding again, so lowered me to 50iu. Probably like you, he was wanting to stimulate my ovaries s l o w l y, but after one week, my estradiol wasn't over 60, so they bumped me up to 75iu. So, from this, I would assume that 40.5 estradiol level isn't very high?? I'm no expert, but just going from my figures, and comparing them to yours. But then, we all react in different ways... For my son, I didn't need meds, but for my daughter I was on 100iu puregon, and two days prior to IUI, my estradiol level was 5673, and I had six follies. I think that level was quite high though for IUI. This cycle just done, I had three follies of 19mm, and smaller ones and my estradiol was 1984. I read somewhere that if you have ONE dominant follie of at least 18mm, then your estradiol should be about 300-900. And if you have THREE follies of at least 16-20mm, then your estradiol should be about 300-400mm for each follie. I

Hi there! I hope the FSH injections work for you and stimulate those follies! I would guess that it is working, since you're feeling butterflies in your stomach. Take it as a good sign. I took the same shots prior to my IUI's and felt the same sensations, almost like little bursts. Not painful, just 'different' and obvious that something was going on. So it is a side effect. Good luck to you and lots of baby dust too!!!
