I am only on my first try.. I have two more days for this cycle and then I'll use an ovulation kit. I'm just nervous about this whole thing. I had an ectopic in '07 and then had a miscarriage in April. So... my doc said to try this. he doesn't think I'll have to go a step further but we'll see. So far no major side effects.

I just finished a round of femara-getting ready for an IUI next week.  I've had 3 failed IUI's.  The first was an unmedicated cycle, the second was with clomid and i only had 2 follicles.  My uterine lining was VERY thin (clomid naturally thins the lining) so my RE switched me to femara for my third IUI.  I had 6 follies!  But none took so I will do my 4th IUI next week.   I love the femara-I have had no side effects.  On clomid I had headaches and hot flashes.  Good luck to you!!!!

I'm not on Femara right now but I took it a few weeks ago (long story, they're having a hard time getting me to ovulate due to my PCOS), but it did cause 6 follicles to appear this time and for the first IUI on the Clomid I only had two. (Now they're just trying to get one of those six to actually get bigger and get to ovulating!) I much preferred the Femara to Clomid. I had bad headaches but that was about it.

I had been on Femara for 2 cycles, Jan and got pregnant in Feb!  Unfortunately that pregnancy was a blighted ovum, I'm just finishing my period now and will start up with the Femara again next month.  I had a few headaches but also got lots of EWCM.  How long have you been on it?
