Follistim and IUI

Hi, I just started seeing a new RE and i was on follistim 75 iu. i went to the doctor on monday and i have over 22 follicles (biggest being 12mm e2 level at 400) they had me stop taking the medications because im only 22 and they were scared of OHSS. I went back today after not taking the injections for two days and one follicle grew to 16mm. i had 2 or 3 at 14mm and the rest were under 12mm. The doc to take 50 iu of the injectables and to  come back on friday to see if any grew. what are the chances that they will grow? and if so is it too many follicles to do an iui? has this ever happened to anyone. I need answers! please help!

Just started follistim for the first time. Really scared since I had hyperstimulation with clomid. Tried Letrozole for three cycles with iui....no luck. I am on 100 follistim and scared about the side effects and hyperstimulation. Tips and encouragement please!!!!!!!!

my only big one is 16mm , the rest is under 14. most of them are like 7 or 8mm , how many does your dr think will mature into eggs? 8 is a lot! are you at high risk for multiples or ohss??  do you have any side effects from shot? im very bloated and sore! i gained 4 pounds in 3 days! sorry for so many questions, i just want to talk to someone in the same boat as me!

Hi!!

I am on 75 Follistim also and today the RE said i have 8 follies and he was worried that that was too many! 22 follies is insane! If i am correct, the follies typically grow 1-2cm each day up til O-time. MIne are all at 14cm now and planning to do IUI on Sat or Sun. The number of follies doesn't matter as much as how mature they are. If they are under a certain size at O-time, they will likely not be fertilized. Hope this helps!! Good Luck on Friday!!
