Going for a 2nd iui.

On oct 12/13  i had an iui done and waited the 2 weeks to test , sadly it was neg.  Not giving up, trying to stay sane.

Once my period stops i will be starting a higher dose of clomid, and  hopefully get a positive result.

Is there anything else i should do to try and increase my chances???   I'm not sure what a trigger shot is, but i will talk to
my doc about it.

Feedback will be greatly appreciated.!!!!!!!

Forgot to mention I am having severe abdominal cramping which is not normal at all??

I had my first IUI the same date as u and was 4 days late with hope & now spotting with 2 neg PT & abnormal cycle. (I am 28 days like clock work)  I tried clomid 3 cycles last year w/ no luck but found later to have thyroid issues ( which i had surgery to remove in June) & miscarried 2 yrs ago.

With this round we did Letrozole, Gonal shots& trigger injection of HCG 36hrs before IUI on the 13th. Had a perfect follicle & my husband was off the charts with sperm:) above average! Not sure if can do another round this month bc my cycle is acting so strange... Probably for us wait til next month...So who knows it is really in God's hands!

This is my 1st time on clomid and doing iui.  But i'm not loosing hope.

I took clomid for 5 days and got the 2 iui. had 3 mature follicles.  

I will talk to my doc about alternatives  because  i dont know what other treatments are out there.

Sadly clomid never worked for me.  Did you have a u/s mid cycle last month to make sure you had a follicle maturing before IUI?  I tried clomid for 4 months...50mg, 100 mg and 150 mg (twice).  I never did injectibles.  Instead I went on Letrozole (femara) and got pg with that and IUI the first time. I am 12 weeks preggo with twins.  So, there are many alternatives if clomid does not work for you. Dont lose hope!

How many cycles have you done so far using clomid ? RE's switch to injectibles if clomid protocol does not work after certain number of cycles. Talk to your doctor about other alternatives. Good luck.
