HELP!!! Frustrated!!

So I just got back from the RE's office and I need to vent.  I am so frustrated first of all half the time that I go there I only see a nurse bc my RE is at different offices all the time.  I feel like im paying a lot of money just to see the nurse.  Then we were really frustrated yesterday when we were told that we can't time for IVF yet.  We have been to the office six days in a row for blood work and u/s.  He isn't telling us anything.  Why we aren't moving on or what is wrong.  Then today we talked to the nurse to vent our frustrations and she said that he is looking at the blood tests and my estrogen levels aren't where they should be for the number of follicles I have.  I have about 30 follicles and she said my estrogen isn't into the thousands.  Why is this???? HELP!!!

I agree, i too was a bit anxious whn i finally started my meds. Please listen to your doc and don't rush to seek a second opinion. I can relate, it's like ou get so close and then their is a minor setback or delay. It will happen when it is God's will for it to happen! Everything will work out.

I know that must be very hard. I saw 2 Drs and one wanted to get started right away, nad the other wanted to check everything out and make sure IVF was right for me. I chose the one that wanted to take his time, because he had the highest success rate. Also the other DR seamed too much liek a car sales man to me. Do, what feels right to you. I think it is better to take precausions, than to rush into it. Liek with anything else, you do much better when you take your time.

Is it bad for me to want to ask for a second opinion.  When I saw the other doctor the other day he was very optomistic that they were going to time me that day... Its very frustrating to me too bc I don't know anybody here and my family is 3 hours away so we are getting to the point where my husband won't be here for the implantation and I really want him to.

maybe he was waitin gto see if it would go up on it's own. My Dr. never up'ed my meds. My Estradiol just went up on it's own. This will help speed things up a bit for you. I know you are frustrated and realy wnat him to explain it all to you. I would to. It's hard when you do not know what is going on with your body. Maybe you should call nad make an apt to see him. Tell them you want him, not the nurse. That way you can have all your questions awnsered. It's important to feel comfortable with your DR and what he is doing for you.

Normal estradiol is about 400 per mature follicle.  30 follicles is quite a high number, so they may also be watching to make sure you don't hyper-stimulate.
How high do they want your estradiol to be? Did they even tell you what your current level is?  Mine was about 4000 before they scheduled retrieval.
Hope this info helps...

He isn't saying no to IVF for this cycle he is just saying wait more time .  He just uped the medication last night.  I just don't understand why he didn't up the medication sooner.

My first IVF cycle I had the same problem with my Estradiol. The Dr knows what he is doing. My Dr made me wait as well until my levels were where he was comfortable. I got PG that cycle. Sadly ended in MC @ 7 weeks, but that had nothing to do with it. If he had not made me wait I would not have even got PG. However I would have been so frustrated if he had not taken the time to tell me why he was making me wait. Something to keep in mind is (as frustrating as it is) the busier your RE is the more successful he is. We don't get to see ours very often as well. When I have a question for him I have to make a special apt and pay more money out of pocket since that apt is not part of my program. But he is very highly recmomended. So, I am ok with that.

Im sorry, I dont know anything about IVF. But, I wanted to let you know that I am sorry about what you are going through and that it is so frustrating.  So is he saying no IVF this month, or is he saying you just need to wait a few extra days??

Again, I am so sorry that it is so frustrating for you!

I think your estradiol level should be about 400 per mature follicle.  Low levels means that many follies are not mature yet.  So, I guess your doc wants you to stim for a few more days before scheduling a retrieval.

Sorry about your RE being unavailable.  That totally sucks&!
