Has anyone had successful ivf with icsi on the first go?? Mom hubby has the issues, it would be nice to have postive reinforcement to stay positive :),,nicole

I did get pregnant 1st time IVF/ICSI, however I may now be miscarrying. But you definitely can get pregnant the 1st time out of the gate.

I got pregnant on my first IVF + ICSI (lower sperm count-our only problem) with twins.  Out of 16 eggs we got 5 best grade embryos. I'm 7 months preg. with boy/girl.

congrats!! on the family you have, and wish me luck!! I will keep yah posted. I actually have no issues on my end so far. Had the dye test done to check tubes(normal) and just recently had hysteroscopy done to clear the way(normal). The doc also says with me being 26 and having lots of healthy folliciles this will help. Now we just have to get my hubby there. He is in his second week of injections,,,nicole

We were successful with our first IVF cycle using ICSI. Our second cycle failed and our third cycle was successful. We have three girls now (singleton with 1st round and twins with 3rd round).

The more important piece of the IVF cycle with ICSI is the quality of the embryos and of course the quality of the sperm but if both are healthy, you should get great fertilization rates. We used IVF with ICSI due to me having PCOS and borderline assay penetration levels with dh's sperm.
