Has anyone ever been prescribed Letrozole?

I just had my Dr's appt today and he said I'm not ovulating....He has prescribed me Letrozole....Has anyone taken it before????

Hello! i also have taken it for several cycles.. alone i didnt' get pregnant, but when i added follistim we have gotten preg 3 times on it! (mc all those : ( - but found we have a clotting disorder) femara actually has a lower miscarriage risk than clomid since it doesn't mess with the lining of your uterus@ : )  good luck!

Another name for it is Femara and like Heather said, it is similar to clomid in that it "tricks" your body into producing more estrogen and should therefore help you ovulate.  I also took it for 4 cycles and liked it much better than Clomid, no hot flashes or crazy mood swings.  Typically you'll take 5 mg on cd3 through cd7.  I've seen it work for a lot of people.  It did help me O every cycle, but we just didn't get pregnant for some other reason I guess.  Good luck to you!  :)

I have! It's basically very similar to clomid, but has less side effects ;-) I don't have any problems ovulating on my own, but my RE wanted me to try it anyway. I did four cycles, and had two follicles three of the months and one follicle one month. Best of luck!
